Easter Sunday

Happy Friday, and congratulations! We've both made it to the end of Massive Easter Blog Week. Today is the last entry, and like the days previous, it will be a big one. So, buckle your seatbelt! Here we go...

Easter Morning

Easter morning was quite a thrill this year. It was the first year Brady semi-understood the deal, which meant when he saw that Easter basket, he made an excited beeline straight for it. The Easter Bunny was very generous this year, and he must know Brady and Brynne pretty well, because their baskets were Disney-themed! They were OH-so-excited to rip into them. Little did they know, this early morning (the Tods woke around 6am that day) would be unlike any other in their little lives so far...

Little Miss arrived on the scene first and quickly pulled out two toys to show us...

but Big Bro wasn't far behind! Brynne thought she needed to help him too.

"Goop!" (aka "Goofy")

She's already halfway through it...

meanwhile, Brady got hold of both boxes of Peeps and couldn't believe his luck! The kid loves Peeps!

That silly Easter Bunny must've hidden Mickey and Minnie shaped eggs! Who knew?!

Making the move for "Brabee's" basket...

but he didn't mind because he was finding eggs...

which was good because Miss was so very excited about ALL the coloring equipment (that wasn't meant for her!).
After the baskets had been ripped into, Brady realized that there were eggs hidden all over the house. What?!?! Gotta get them!

Brad made sure to be present for each stage of this hunt, he was hoping the Easter Bunny remembered the dog (he didn't).

Poor Brad! Maybe if he's a better dog next year the Bunny won't forget him again (unlikely).

A nice size haul.
 Meanwhile...

Miss B made sure a thorough search was performed on those baskets.
After all the Easter Bunny madness, it was time to simmer down and get ready for Church. Like any good "C & E'ers", we made it to the 11am service all dressed in our Easter Best. Unfortunately, Brady and Brynne didn't love being in the nursery too much, but luckily it was over in a flash and we were off to Gaga F's!

Mid-Day at Gaga and Pop's House

Upon arrival, the Tods realized that not only were they getting to go to Grandma's, but that the Easter Bunny had struck again! Another set of baskets to rip through??? Yay!

It's Go-Time...

Brynnie got hold of an apple, and she was not putting that thing down, even for an Easter basket. The girl loves fruit!

"More Peeps!"

Showing Gaga her apple in spite of all the new toys. The love for fruit is serious. Notice the candy lying around untouched and the lack of interest in the Peeps being held out for her...

Still with the apple...

Finally able to put it down, but only because she loves (Mommy's old) rocking chair.

Playtime....

And kiss time!

After the second set of baskets had been ripped through, Brady decided it was time to go "OUTSIDE!"....

and go for a swing with Gaga and "Sisser"...

So much fun!

"Hi Mommy!"

Baby Sis got a little scared to sit on her own, so she grabbed onto her Best Buddy for support.

Be still, my heart!
After swinging, Mommy wanted another attempt at a Tods Photo Shoot. Saturday at Veranda was awesome, but I wanted that elusive Brady-Brynne-looking-up-and-smiling-together photo so bad I could taste it! Did it finally happen?

Her first Easter dress. No words!

They were even wearing matching outfits! That was only semi-on purpose. Win!

Brady likes to hold flowers much more than Brynnie...

Who likes to throw them away ASAP as if they're covered and mud and have stained her hand. Girly girl alert!

My adorable little Easter doll.

I can't stand the cuteness of this girl...

OR her handsome brother!

The last attempt.

As you might've guessed by now, "The Picture" did NOT happen. Wa-Wa-WAAA! Brady seems to have uncanny knack for knowing when he's in front of the lens and melting down because of it, so another try, another failure for this "Mommyographer." Boo! The photos are still pretty cute though, so even though The Picture continues to elude me, I am grateful for any picture, because they are so. dang. cute (sorry but they just ARE)!

 Easter Afternoon

Next up, it was over the river and through the woods (more like "over the river and around the small hill") to Gigi and Papa's house for yet more Easter baskets (that Bunny sure was busy Saturday night!), some Easter dinner, and some more egg hunting. By this point, I was one exhausted Mommy, so I didn't get pictures of everything. You'll have to settle for only a couple hundred more (I kid, I kid! Kind of.)...

The Bunny brought BUBBLES to Gigi's! How smart he is!

Poor Brynnie wanted to run up that hill to join the action so bad, but her tiny legs just couldn't make it.

Falling in the grass upset her ("What IS this stuff Mommy!?!"), so out came that Old Standby, aka The Nuk.

But Brady wasn't stopping with his bubbles anytime soon!

And Gigi happens to be the perfect partner for this task!

Time for the ggg hunt. Found one!

A camo egg?! That crazy Easter Bunny trying to confuse the Tods...

This egg hunt had a peanut gallery, and it might actually be a case of too much handsome in one picture. For reals!

Enough messing around, time to get to the important stuff--the CANDY inside those eggs!

I missed Brady's egg hunt because he ran wild and got them so quick. After the egg hunt, Uncle Wes treated everyone to a rocket launch. Brady loved it, but Miss B...

was still concerned about that candy.

So THERE you have it, our Easter in several hundred very colorful photos. I hope you enjoyed this week of Easter-Mania with me, and that you didn't get too bored along the way. Cheers to another successful first(ish) holiday for Brady and Brynne!

(PS - if reading about our Easter weekend wore you out, imagine being The Mom and The Photographer throughout it. MY favorite Easter gift was the NAP my mom and Steve treated me to by taking the kids in the evening after we left Gigi's. It was MUCH-needed and MUCH-appreciated! Thanks again, Fischers!)

Happy Easter, and TGIF! The Wheelers will be relaxing this-coming weekend (most of us anyway).
