Since I've been M-I-A for awhile, I thought I'd post some fun pictures of summer. Even though I haven't been blogging, we've still been doing all the summer things these past couple of months. We haven't gone on any vacations yet (Disney is coming up soon), but fun in the sun has definitely not been absent from our lives. Aunt Jamie was nice enough to invite us out to the Mowery farm for a swim back in July, and we happily accepted.
Some wet and wild smiles, coming right up!

A Mouska-Party!
Since you read this blog religiously (hahaha), you know that Brady's 3rd birthday was the 20th. We had his Very Mickey Mouse Birthday Party this past Sunday, and all of his favorite people were in attendance! He had a Mouska-cake and was wearing a Mouska-shirt to match. Little Sis even dressed up like Minnie! His favorite snacks were on the menu (meatballs, soft pretzels and fruit), and he got a mountain of lavish gifts from his super-generous grandparents and others.
As the Mouse would say "That was REALLY fun!"
I can't believe my baby boy is already THREE years old!

Too hungry to wait for people arrive to dig into the food. It's his party and he can eat before everyone gets there if he wants to!

Meanwhile, Minnie Mouse stole the Birthday Boy's new squirt bottle and lunch box. Baby's first crime: petty theft. Good thing she has a good lawyer.

A Mouska-Cake, aka Brady's Dream Come True. The boy loves cake. A taste likely acquired in-utero.

Ha Ha! Incidentally, this one is "Classic Brady."

A DVD player for the car and some DVDs. The next long car ride will be peaceful thanks to Gaga and Pappy!

Daddy's Day
It's Tuesday and I'm back to the blog already! Score! However, the high dresser I mentioned on Friday that was supposed to be making it's grand entrance into our newly made-over master bedroom that evening did not actually make it, as predicted. Brynne had what turned out to be roseola (for the second time, yet again we win the viral lottery, which is nice but we feel like it's ok to let other people win sometimes too, ok God?), so her miserable mood combined with my inability to decide whether the dresser was done or not prevented any progress in that arena. As usual, my perfectionism won the day, and the dresser drawers and inside received a coat of paint last night. I am currently debating whether to re-poly the outside of the dresser or not. Since I'm reading that it is probably a good, it is probably going to happen, which means no dresser for Jason or for this blog for several more days (at least).
Womp Womp.
But anyway, Sunday was Father's Day (duh as we all remember by now). The Wheelers celebrated our dads with as much fanfare as we could handle amongst our grumpy toddlers limitations. We visited Pappy on Sunday morning, spent Sunday afternoon with Daddy, and Sunday evening with Pawpaw. I was busy running out for paint supplies and gifts in between, so there aren't many pictures. However, in the afternoon lull I did manage to catch some snaps of one of the most involved dads I know making sure his babies were ready for some fun in the sun. See for yourself...
Womp Womp.

Holy Saturday at Veranda
Every year right before Easter, we take Brady to Lancaster for the Annual Veranda Egg Hunt in my dad's neighborhood. In past years it has been bitterly cold, but this year it was held on the Saturday before Easter and we finally got some good weather. It came at the perfect time too, because Brady had been practicing his egg hunting skills in our backyard the day before, so he was primed and ready to go when the hunt took off! Baby Sister was determined not to miss out as well, and she was loving picking up eggs. We love it every year, but this was the best Veranda Egg Hunt yet!

#TBT - Sibling Day
Happy Sibling Day! We are throwing back some sibling goodies to celebrate. Jason and I love our siblings more than they will probably ever know. They are our other halves, and without them, we wouldn't be ourselves. There are some things in life that only your sibling can understand, and I for one am super thankful to have a handsome, smart and successful brother with whom to share that bond (even though I spent my childhood pining for a sister :), hehe). I am lucky enough to have a wonderful sister in-law as well who is always there for us no matter what! Garrett and Courtney are about to have a BIG year getting married to awesome people, and we couldn't be more excited to be part of their weddings!

Baaaaaa!
Here it is, the "springiest" of all SPRING blog posts! Ha. Last April, when Brynnie was just 6 weeks old and Brady was about 19 months, we were invited out to Aunt Jamie's family farm to see the sheep. It was springtime, some babies had just been born and we all thought Brady would enjoy it. Well, it turned out that "enjoy" was an understatement--Brady totally LOVED it! So, in what is becoming a nice little annual tradition, we were again invited out there this past weekend. When Sunday arrived, off we went to "Aunt Naynee's" to "SEE sheeeeeep! Baaa!" Brady's excitement started in the car, and he kept straining to see out the window during the drive to see if we were "there" yet. As predicted, a great time was had by all. I'll stop stalling now and unleash the adorable pics!
