Holy Saturday at Veranda

Every year right before Easter, we take Brady to Lancaster for the Annual Veranda Egg Hunt in my dad's neighborhood. In past years it has been bitterly cold, but this year it was held on the Saturday before Easter and we finally got some good weather. It came at the perfect time too, because Brady had been practicing his egg hunting skills in our backyard the day before, so he was primed and ready to go when the hunt took off! Baby Sister was determined not to miss out as well, and she was loving picking up eggs. We love it every year, but this was the best Veranda Egg Hunt yet!

After the egg hunt, we departed back to the Lewis residence for some brunch. Brady and Brynne decided they weren't quite done hunting eggs though, so another backyard egg hunt ensued...

After that we decided to talk a walk for a family picture to help digest all the breakfast food and candy. My camera didn't get the official pic, but here's the kids-only version...

Since it was such a GORGEOUS day and we were all dressed up, I couldn't help but take about 1,000 pictures (if only I were exaggerating about that). More pics (if you can believe it) coming up!

but she didn't want to be too far away from Mommy.

As you can see, it was quite a day. Jason and I had two seriously tired tods on our hands when we went home, they slept well that night! Thanks Dad and Jen for having us! If it isn't obvious from ALL of these pics, we had a great time.
